Terbinafine in the group of drugs called anti-fungal or anti-fungal. Used to
treat fungal infections groin, body, scalp, feet, and nails. These drugs are only
available by prescription in dosage forms: Granules and Tablets.

For tinea capitis (fungal infection of scalp):
Adults: Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by a physician, usually 250 mg once daily for 6 weeks.
Children ages 4 years and above with a weight of more than 35 kg: dose based on body weight and must be determined by a physician, usually 250 mg once daily for 6 weeks.
Children ages 4 years and above with a weight of less than 25 kg to 35 kg: dose based on body weight and must be determined by a physician, usually from 125 to 187.5 mg once daily for 6 weeks.
Children under 4 years of age: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Tablet dosage forms:
For onychomycosis (fungal infection of the nail):
Adults: 250 mg once daily for 6 weeks.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.
For onychomycosis (fungal infection of the toenails):
Adults: 250 mg once daily for 12 weeks.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.
For tinea corporis (ringworm on the body):
Adults and teenagers: 250 mg once daily for 2 to 4 weeks.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.
For tinea cruris (ringworm of the groin; itchy athlete):
Adults and teenagers: 250 mg once daily for 2 to 4 weeks.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.
For tinea pedis (ringworm of the feet; athlete's foot):
Adults and teenagers: 250 mg once daily for 2 to 6 weeks.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.
